These terms govern your use of the MindMonks website and the services booked through it. By using this website or completing a booking, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or book a service.
These terms are written to comply with the Consumer Protection Act 2019, the Information Technology Act 2000, the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020, and Razorpay’s merchant requirements.

The services
MindMonks offers four services, bookable through this website:
| Service | Duration | India | Outside India |
|---|---|---|---|
| Expert Opinion — Text | Replied within 48 hours | ₹99 | ₹99 |
| Psychiatrist Consultation | 30–40 minutes | ₹1,500 | ₹2,500 |
| Therapy | 50 minutes to 1 hour | ₹2,500 | ₹4,000 |
| Therapy Package — 4 Sessions | 4 × 50 minutes | ₹8,000 | ₹13,000 |
All fees are in Indian rupees. If you pay from outside India your bank may apply a foreign exchange conversion charge — that is your bank’s charge, not ours.
These are the prices charged. If the price shown on the website and the price charged at checkout ever differ, the checkout price is what applies. Please contact us before paying if you see a discrepancy.
This is a telemedicine service
All consultations are delivered remotely, over Google Meet, as permitted under the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020 issued by the Board of Governors of the Medical Council of India.
By booking, you confirm that you:
- Consent to receiving your consultation via telemedicine over Google Meet. Video is the default; audio-only is available if you prefer. The MindMonks team will contact you on WhatsApp and/or email to agree a time and send your Google Meet link.
- Understand that this is a planned appointment service and not an emergency or crisis service.
- Are at least 18 years of age, or are a parent or identified adult family member booking on behalf of a minor, and will be present throughout the consultation as required by the Guidelines.
This is not an emergency service
MindMonks arranges planned appointments. Nobody monitors this website continuously. If you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, do not use this website — contact emergency services on 112, call Tele-MANAS on 14416, or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
What to expect after booking
- Once your payment is confirmed, the MindMonks team contacts you on WhatsApp and/or email to agree a date and time, and to send your Google Meet link.
- Your session takes place over Google Meet. Video is encouraged, but audio-only is available if you prefer.
- Psychiatric Consultations are conducted in Hindi, English, or Bengali. Please confirm your preferred language when you are contacted.
- Psychotherapy consultations are conducted in Hindi and English. Please confirm your preferred language when you are contacted.
- A preferred date and time entered on the booking form is a request, not a confirmed slot. Double-booking is not prevented. The team confirms the actual time with you on WhatsApp.
- For the Expert Opinion service, a written response is delivered within 48 hours of booking confirmation to the email address you provided.
Payment
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Rupay), UPI, net banking, and wallets are accepted. Your card details go directly to Razorpay and never touch MindMonks’ servers.
Your booking is confirmed only once payment succeeds. A pending or failed payment means nothing has been booked and nothing has been charged. If a payment appears to leave your account but your booking is not confirmed, write to us immediately at admin@mindmonks.in with the date, amount, and your bank’s reference number.
Razorpay’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction. We encourage you to read them.

Prescriptions
Only Dr. Shovan Chakraborty, as a registered medical practitioner, may issue prescriptions through MindMonks. Shveta Sharma does not prescribe medication.
Prescriptions are issued at the clinician’s clinical judgement after assessment. Booking a consultation does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued. The clinician may decline to prescribe if it is not clinically appropriate, or if the consultation mode does not allow adequate assessment.
Any prescription issued will carry Dr. Shovan’s name and Medical Council registration number, as required by law and the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020. Certain categories of medicines cannot be prescribed via telemedicine under those guidelines; this will be explained to you if it applies.
Clinical limitations
Telemedicine has inherent limitations compared with in-person care. By using MindMonks you acknowledge that:
- A remote consultation cannot replace a physical examination where one is clinically indicated.
- Your clinician may determine during or after assessment that an in-person review, hospitalisation, or a different level of care is needed, and will tell you so.
- MindMonks is not able to provide emergency psychiatric intervention, involuntary admission, or urgent crisis response.
- Continuity of care between sessions is your responsibility — MindMonks is not a continuous monitoring service.
- Between scheduled appointments, MindMonks does not provide continuous clinical monitoring or supervision. If your needs change or become urgent, you may be advised to seek appropriate in-person or emergency care.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information on the booking form. We rely on what you tell us to arrange appropriate care.
- Be available on Google Meet at the agreed date and time. Ensure you have a working internet connection and the Google Meet app or a compatible browser. If you are going to be late or need to reschedule, contact us as early as possible.
- Use this service only for its intended purpose. Do not submit false bookings, attempt to disrupt the service, or use automated tools against this website.
- Keep your booking reference and any clinical advice you receive confidential.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — text, design, graphics, code — belongs to MindMonks or its licensors. You may read and share links to it for personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish it without written permission.
The validated screening questionnaires used in the Self Assessment Centre (PHQ-9, GAD-7, WHO-5) are reproduced under their respective licensing terms, which are stated on that page.
Limitation of liability
MindMonks provides clinical services through qualified, registered practitioners acting within their professional scope. We do not limit or exclude liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our practitioners.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
Subject to the above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or from the services will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service to which the claim relates.
The Self Assessment Centre is a screening tool, not a diagnostic service. Results are not a clinical opinion from MindMonks and do not create a clinical relationship. We are not liable for any action taken or not taken based on those results.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith correspondence with us at admin@mindmonks.in. If that fails, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
If you are a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, you also have the right to approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the website after a change constitutes acceptance. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you directly if we have your contact details.
