Psychiatrist Consultation
An unhurried assessment with a psychiatrist: your history, what you are experiencing now, a working diagnosis explained in simple language, and a treatment plan you agree with.
Therapy
Therapy that has a shape: agreed goals, a method chosen because the evidence supports it for your difficulty.
Therapy is not just about sharing what bothers you, it is not even just about exploring your difficulties, because sometimes even understanding a problem is not enough—we also need to become aware of how we experience it & get affected by it. Psychotherapy helps you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and patterns as they unfold in the present moment. Through a supportive and genuine therapeutic relationship, you can explore what may be holding you back, develop greater self-understanding, and discover healthier ways of responding to life and relationships.
If therapy isn’t feeling helpful after the first few sessions, that is something to explore—not something to simply sit through.
Sessions are usually weekly at the start. The first few sessions may focus on understanding your difficulties and deciding together what you want to work on. As therapy progresses, your goals and progress are reviewed, and the treatment plan can be adjusted when needed.

What happens
Start with one. There is no commitment to a course until you have met your therapist.
The team contacts you on WhatsApp and/or email to confirm a time that fits your week, and sends your Google Meet link. Video is encouraged — audio-only is available if you prefer. Psychotherapy consultations are conducted in Hindi and English — please let the team know your preferred language when they reach out.
What is happening, what has been tried, and two or three specific goals written down so progress is something you can point at.
Fifty-minute sessions, paced with you — with room between sessions to notice how our work unfolds in your everyday life, and return with what you discover.

All questionsThere is no fixed number of sessions that works for everyone. The duration of therapy depends on your concerns, their severity and how long you have been experiencing them, as well as the type of therapy and the goals you are working towards.
Not necessarily. For several conditions therapy alone is a first-line treatment. Where a combination works better, that will be explained rather than assumed.
No. You can book therapy directly. If the assessment suggests a psychiatric review would help, your therapist will say so.
Therapy generally comes to an end when you and your therapist feel that the goals you agreed upon have been meaningfully addressed.

Four sessions booked together at a lower rate, because structured therapy works better with continuity than with gaps.
