Shveta Sharma

Shveta Sharma is a NET qualified licensed Clinical Psychologist with a strong academic and research background, having graduated with First Class in both her Master's and M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology. She is a recipient of the prestigious Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Award for Excellence in Research. She worked as a Research Scientist at NIMHANS, a world-renowned centre of excellence in the realm of mental health and neurosciences. She is also an alumni of the prestigious Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), one of India's premier institutions with a longstanding legacy in clinical services, training and psychiatric research. During her doctoral thesis at CIP, she became the first Indian clinical psychologist who studied the usefulness of a newer form of therapy known as Cognitive Coping Therapy (CCT) for OCD.

Driven by her quest to learn and master different therapeutic approaches, she underwent more than hundred hours of training in Gestalt psychotherapy, which focuses on processing supressed emotions and increasing awareness of the present emotional and bodily experience. She integrates all of these training in different psychotherapeutic approaches to offer treatment that is both scientifically grounded and attentive to the individual experience of each client. Moreover, she is a trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ affirming Clinical Psychologist and strives to provide a respectful, inclusive, and non-judgmental therapeutic space.
